NEWS. Hi All, As many of you will already know the Crufts schedule for 2020 is now available and entries are open. The Bracco Italiano Society will have their stand at Discover dogs this year at Crufts and we are looking for people with dogs that are willing to support the Society and man the stand to promote the breed. We will be looking for people to cover all days of the show from Thursday through to Sunday. If you are interested please can you let me know either by PM or email The KC kindly offers free entry to Crufts, Food and Drink Vouchers and Car Parking to those supporting Discover Dogs so if you are considering coming to Crufts and can give up some of your time for the Society you could benefit from the support that the KC offers. Thank you The Bracco Italiano Society are holding a Breed Appreciation Day, Multi Choice Exam and A3 Assessment on Sunday 23rd February2020 at North Muskham, Newark, Notts Speaker Mrs Lynne Bowley (Gusnyn) Lynne has been involved with the breed since 2002, and her achievements include •the first UK owner to be awarded best of sex (and best of breed) at Crufts, Lynn has been Best of Breed three times at Crufts •breeder of the first two UK Champions and 4 in total, including the current breed record holder, and made up a fifth UK champion. •top breeder in 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016 & 2017. As well as showing Lynne works her Bracchi, and wrote the only UK breed book for new owners The BAD will be of interest to all who wish to learn more about the Bracco Italiano and will be split into three options, enabling candidates to choose which is the most suitable for their requirements. The BAD is a mandatory requirement for those wishing to progress from Level 1 to Level 2 on the Judges Competency Framework. Option 1 - Breed specific seminar, multi-choice exam and A3 assessment Option 2 – Breed specific seminar and multi-choice exam Option 3 - Breed specific seminar To undertake the multi choice exam candidates must have undertaken and passed the following Kennel Club educational seminars •Rules & Regulations of a dog show judge •Points of the dog assessment •Conformation and movement seminar •Completed 6 full days stewarding Option 1 is aimed at those who wish to take an A3 assessment. To progress to the A3 list a pass of the assessment is a mandatory requirement. Places are strictly limited to 12, and in the event of being oversubscribed preference, will be given to those who are already on the B list, followed by those on the C List. Options 2 & 3 are aimed at those who wish to judge the Bracco Italiano for the first time and for people wishing to gain a deeper understanding of the breed.
